Capture nx updating image

It also seems that when the difference passes some unknown criteria and CNX2 reports no Dust Off image is found.

I have tried to get around this by placing the a day-old Dust Off Reference image in a folder with images from a new shoot and then tried to apply it. I am using the Dust Off as a part of my routine (and have been ever since it was an option).

I posted this in a couple of other groups (D300 / Nikon) but nobody seemed able to help. I've just tried Capture NX2 and thought I would try the Image Dust Off function. However if the timezone in the computer is set to a zone other than the ones listed below the software will recognise the files.

If the dust off and the images are placed in the same folder, then CNX2 should find the Dust Off and ask you if you want to use it.The dust spots were clearly visible on the photo but the dust off routine failed to remove them, so I'm giving up and going back to manual retouching! The NX2 help file doesn't suggest that a dust off file taken more than a day before/after the picture it's being applied to will fail. There is apparently a comparison of the dust because CNX2 gives a message if there is some amount of difference and asks for the user to confirm. If the difference is small, CNX2 will allow use of the Dust Off Reference image.
